the works of Silja Yvette  

Nature and human invention, myth and progress, order and chance, materiality and environment, and on a medial level, the interface between photography and sculpture occupy Silja Yvette in her artistic practice. Her photographs create an image of contemporary life.

 

Silja Yvette lives and works in Berlin. She graduated from the Städelschule University of Fine Arts in Frankfurt am Main in 2011 and additionally studied architecture until 2010 and philosophy until 2018. She has exhibited her work in solo and group exhibitions in Germany since 2006, in other European countries since 2011 and in Beijing in 2016.

What is remarkable about Silja Yvette's working method is, among other things, her approach, which is thought through from all sides, her high precision and her interdisciplinary approach, which takes an artistic look at the industry and pursues and conveys the experiment for a material change in photography with a high urge.
